PRINCIPAL

In 1979, Mary A. McClure, CIC, LUTCF became a captive agent for Mutual Service Insurance and with American Family beginning in 1986. Ten years later she became an independent agent as a partner with McClure, Kemp and Associates. Before long she became the principal for McClure Agency in Mankato.

She received her LUTCF designation in 1990 (A LUTCF designation represents and educational accomplishment and the achievement of high-level professionalism) and her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2002, which she updates annually. As a certified insurance speaker, she has perfected the translation of insurance terminology into an understandable topic.

McClure has served on the board of directors on her local Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for the last 18 years, two terms of which she served as president. She has worked on the executive board for Minnesota Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as secretary and membership chair; American Family Agents Association on both a local and national level; and the Coalition of Exclusive Agents Association as both a board member and secretary. She is the current Region 10 representative for the Minnesota Association of Independent Agents.

Locally, McClure is active in the community’s United Way, where she previously served as treasurer for the executive board and now serves on their vision council, financial committee and as campaign chair for the insurance division. Her leadership has strengthened the Facility Management Board at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

McClure tends to most sales aspects of the agency, working frequently with business, farm, life and health accounts. Her support enriches the personal accounts with reviews, rewrites and new business.


SUPPORT STAFF

Becky Hopp, who has been with the McClure Agency since 1999, has dedicated time and effort to sustain her CISR designation in 2003 with classes developed by the program. Hopp is thus able to keep on the cutting edge of new insurance trends and methods.

At McClure Agency, Hopp monitors new and existing Life clients while also maintaining software programs to keep the agency running smoothly and efficiently.

Donna Hoppe, has been a customer service representative for McClure Agency since 2001. Even as she has held her Property/ Casualty license since 2001, she is also actively pursuing her CISR designation. At McClure Insurance Agency, Hoppe maintains the insurance trust account, special account billings as well as servicing new and existing health clients.
